The Zayanderud River is endowed by two beautiful bridges, the Khajou and the Si-o-seh Pol, the latter being the connecting bridge between the bazaar, Maidan-e-Shah and the Chahar Bagh Boulevard, and the south bank of the river where our site is located

The Isfahan Municipality controlled the quality and growth of the historical areas of the city by imposing height and material limitations. Hotel management groups generally prefer high-rise buildings in order to avoid long corridors which increase the labor cost of the operation. Even though we were located on the south bank of the river, a four story height limit was imposed on this building.

Public spaces consisted of a bazaar-like passage which was livened up with several restaurants. This passage also catered to a partial lobby, part outdoor seating area for restaurants. This space was also the connection to our courtyard on the level above the ground floor on the roof of service areas, surrounded by guest rooms.

The open courtyard caters to the outdoor life of the hotel such as swimming and open-air evening celebrations like marriage feasts, so popular in Iran.
